My new home sweet home- Nashville, Tennessee! My first trip to Nashville was for CMAFest 2017 and let me tell ya, it was life changing! I mean it must have been if I live here now 2 years later. I just wanted to share some MUST DO’s while in Nashville. I will update these since I have only lived here for 6 months now.
When I came to Nashville to visit, I always stayed in a hotel down by the airport. I chose to stay near the airport because of price. It was pretty inexpensive for a night compared to downtown. Most of the hotels have free breakfast and it’s only about a 10 minute uber ride into downtown. However, if you want convenience & can afford it you should stay downtown. There are a lot of great brunch spots that you could walk to and you don’t have to worry about getting an uber.
My top bars on Broadway are Luke’s 32 Bridge, Jason Aldeans (Luke’s and Jasons connect on the top floor), Whiskey Row, Tootsies and Tin Roof.
Now as far as food goes…Nashville has amazing food! My favorites in the Broadway area are The Stillery (holy crap), The Diner and Jacks BBQ.
You can find the menu for The Stillery here. The Stillery is right off of Broadway on 2nd ave. I’m going to say right now, you HAVE TO order the Hot Chicken Mac & Cheese. But I will warn you- the Nashville hot chicken at The Stillery is a lot hotter than the hot chicken. They also have a lot of fresh cocktails- my favorite is the Southern Peach!

The Diner is a 6 story restaurant and each floor has a different menu! The best part is they’re open 24 hours! You want a piece of cake at 3 am? Go get it! I think this is one of the best places to go after 11:00 when all of the bars stop serving food.
Jack’s BBQ is a staple on Broadway! They have their sign out front that everyone knows! The line does get really long, usually out the door around lunch and dinner time. Do NOT try to go in the back! I saw a lot of people go around back because they thought there would be another line but they ended up walking through the whole restaurant just to come back out front and wait in a now longer line. It IS worth the wait.
And now for the grand finale- I saved the BEST food in all of Nashville for last. Hattie B’s Nashville Hot Chicken is THE hot chicken to get. I honestly feel like my friends and family who don’t live here or haven’t had it think I am just over reacting when I talk about it… but I’m not and once you try it you will realize it. We go here once a month and it never disappoints. There are multiple locations in Nashville so definitely think about which one you’d like to go to, they almost always have a line.

And now after typing all of this, I’ve realized I eat too much mac & cheese. So I’m off to the gym bye.
